Diana Sanon Organization for Community Unity and Civic Power was founded in 2025 in loving memory of Diana Sanon, whose life was defined by compassion, kindness, and quiet strength. Diana was a devoted mother, a loving sister, and a cherished daughter. Her heart was generous, her spirit was warm, and her greatest joy came from caring for others—especially her three beautiful children. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. While Diana lived with bipolar disorder, she faced her struggles with courage and grace. Though her life ended far too soon, her story does not end here.

This organization is our promise to carry her legacy forward with purpose. By raising awareness about mental health, providing education, and connecting individuals and families to real resources and meaningful support, we aim to prevent other families from experiencing such loss.

After losing her daughter, Diana’s mother, Claire Leon, chose to turn her pain into purpose. Claire is a nurse and a proud member of 1199, and she has spent her life caring for others. Through this organization, she brings together healthcare providers, community members, and support services to help families facing mental health challenges and other hardships.

Through this work, we transform love into action, pain into hope, and remembrance into lasting change—ensuring that Diana’s life continues to touch others and inspire healing.
